Copenhagen Day 1

Just off the plane and went with old pal, radio host and guitarist Morten Alfred Høirup for a six hour walk throughout the city.  Sure we inspected the hash dealers in the independent kingdom of Christiania, learned that amber from Copenhagen is highly sought after by Chinese visitors, that it would be nice if the country’s gigantic main train station had a sign on it (I suggested ‘Grand Central’) and visited a pretty good indoor flea, the Den Blå Hal Antiques Market.

Now who wouldn’t buy a 45 in honor of Trump!   That’s Satch (Louis Armstrong) with his satchel packed in anticipation of things to come.  Accompanying him are some excellent Smørrebrød from the Hal cafe.

Sticking to an open-face bread theme, later that evening it was French galetts with Danish gents and my hosts from the Royal library – Lars Kjelfred and Simon Ørregaard and Danish radio legend, Jan Sneum.

Off to Ragnarock, the Museum of Rock, Pop and Youth Culture in Roskilde.
